Beefy Southren Cornbread Pie

Prepare beef mixture ,

1 pound lean ground beef                     1 large onion Coarsely chopped
1 can tomato soup                                   2 cups water
1 tsp. salt                                                     1 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. chili pepper                                 1/2 cup bell peppers chopped
1 can whole kernal corn drained

Brown beef and onions in skillet Drain fat( i like to wash mine with a little hot water) Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Simmer 15 minutes
Tranfer beef mixture to a 10inch square baking dish and set aside.


Prepare Cornbread topping,

3/4 cups of Cornmeal ( white or yellow)            1 tbsp. flour( self rising)
1/2tbsp. salt                                                                    1 egg
1 1/2 tbsp baking powder                                          1/2 milk
1 tbsp. oil any kind

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Combine all ingredients in a bowl  and mix well. Pour mixture over beef mix. Bake in oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
